the list, day 1

I often have so many things going on in my head that I want to accomplish that I don't know where to start and end up doing nothing. Frustrating, I know. Many lists have been made, stuffed into purses, planners, but eventually all lost. Here is my current list and I will be adding to periodically.

1. lose weight (not yet stating a number, maybe one day)
2. stick to a dairy free, gluten free diet without cheating
3. grow and drink daily water kefir (kefir grains are in the mail now!)
4. stop cutting my hair and let it grow loooong
5. stop believing product advertisements and stick with what I already know works
6. paint our office and kitchen
7. start planning dinners for the week and consolidate grocery shopping trips
8. take the baby to more places around town (think aquarium, nature museum, etc)
9. finish up baby's first birthday plans
10.write for this blog on a regular schedule

an introduction

Hello, and welcome to Starting Things!

I'm Amanda, a wife and mother living in Chicago trying to finish at least some of the things I start. Among the wreckage lies getting into better shape, sticking to a dairy and gluten free diet, and organizing the messy corners of my home, you know, the usual suspects. Starting this blog is hopefully going to become a way to stop spending as much time focusing on all the things I have never finished but instead to really celebrate all the accomplishments.
